Well, December just started....wait. It's December already?!?!????

Last week, I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business, and this guy walked into the office, holding a bouquet.....Matt had sent me some gorgeous flowers, and for no reason at all!!  :D :D :D  They are soo pretty, and they make my bedroom smell wonderful!  Love my guy!

Are they beautiful???

On Saturday the 4th, Matt and I met my family at the South Towne Expo Center for the Festival of Trees.  This is one of my favorite Christmas traditions!  My family has attended this festival for as long as I can remember.  We walked and walked aaaaaaand walked.  So many trees!  I didn't really have a favorite tree this year, but there were a couple I really liked (especially the rivalry trees, those crack me up).  And then, of course, we looked at the gingerbread houses, my favorite part!  Someone this year decided to do an ENTIRE amusement park out of candy, and it was AWESOME!  Here are some pictures from the festival:

Cookie monster tree....hahaha, the title was "C is for Christmas"

Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood....

Anyone want some chicken????

One of my roomies (Rob) just bought a new camera (it's Nikon, but I forgive him ;)....) and asked me to go to Temple Square with him to try it out.  I took mine and we met his cousin down there on Monday night.  It. was. awesome.  Rob has had some practical lessons with a friend who is a pro photographer, and his cousin is also very knowledgeable....so I got some great advice and some tips on using the camera!  Which is awesome, because I've never taken photography, so I know very VERY little about the logisitics of it all.  We walked around for what I thougtht was maybe an hour....yeah, we were there for over two and half hours...tee hee!  Time flies!  Here are some I took, hope you like!  I'm sure I'll have more to post soon; my weekends are already spoken for for the rest of December, I have so many parties and events to attend! Cheers, and Mawwy Cwissmus! :D

That would be Rob, photographer extraordinaire

Aaaaaaand, the updates continue....October

On October 1st, I finally made the split, and moved out of the parents' house with some friends!  So far, so good (and that's three months counting), I'm loving it!  I miss my family, but the fact that I work with my mom helps, so we still see each other often. Yay, I'm all growed up! :)

For Halloween, I decided to dress up as an Indian.  I don't know about the rest of you out there, but Halloween is akin to public speaking for me on the anxiety scale.  I cannot, CAN NOT, ever decide what to be.  I go through the initial "Oh crap, can't think of anything to be" phase, which, after much consideration, develops into, "Oh crap, I can't choose what I want to be!"  So, this year, I went through about five ideas before settling at the last minute, of course. :) Matt was going to dress up and then decided that throwing his back out four days before the 31st was a better idea.  Soooo, needless to say, he did not go anywhere for Halloween but bedroom and couch. :(  Nikki had invited me to a party, so after tucking in my invalid, I went with her and her friend Trevor, and here are the costumes:

I cannot tell you how much bronzer I used!!! :O  Nikki was a mummy, and Trevor? Well, he was Nana..... :D

We HAD to get a picture with this girl...she was a loofa!!  I LOVE it!! :)

I would do a post about November....but not much happened.  Thanksgiving was wonderful, as always.  We went to my Grandma's house and ate and ate and ate!  And then on Friday the 26th, my mom held a little Thanksgiving dinner at our house.....Delicious!

I'm living, I promise, I just haven't penned my adventures....

I have not posted in...yes, forever, I know.  Although, I don't feel TOOOO bad, because, it seems, as I read my friends' blogs, we all do this....right?  We write and promise to update often, and then, two months goes by, and whoa, here we are in December!  What I want to know is, what the hell happened to my childhood days?!? You know, when E-VE-RY day would drraaaaagggg on and on and on....and Christmas just would. not. get. here. fast. enough.  Yeah, I don't have the answer, but it is apparent to me that those days are gone, because life is not slowing down at all. So, I can't promise that I will be any better, but I'm going to try to update this more often (and I have incentive, because I've been taking lots of pics recently and want to share them)....soooooo:

Lots has happened, and I will give a full update through the next few days.  First, my b-day back in September (yes, my last post WAS in August....sigh); here are a few pictures from my family get together, with my new camera... :D For my birthday, I received two lenses for the camera (thank you, my sweet Matthew), and my family gave me a new adorable wallet, and some wonderful gift cards! :)  All in all, a wonderful 23rd birthday!

Next piece of news to share involves one of my high school friends, Mallory.  She is a proud new mommy!!  I went over to visit Miss Morgan Dean about a week after she was born, and here are a few pictures.....I took a ton, but a lot turned out blurry (bad lighting, not to mention I was still trying to figure out what I was doing). Soooo cute!

Isn't she sooo cute???

My family and I went camping in mid September, and Matt took me out to a lake to try out the ol' lenses....We had a good time, even though the fishing part of the day didn't really pan out....but here are some pictures of the attempt made.
